It’s a lot easier to stuff your pockets when your entire campaign is based on blaming someone else - blame whitie from the get-go and it’s very easy to explain away all those millions that vanished while nothing got done, it’s all whitey’s fault. Needless to say it works really well with trailer trash whites as well, just look at Trump&Co.

This isn't really that helpful, as it doesn't break down racial makeup outside of "white" and "non-white".

So going by your logic 44% of mostly white neighborhood residents voted for George because she’s white while 45% of mostly black neighborhood residents voted for Janey because she’s black, doesn’t that mean blacks are more racist than whites?

Two things

1) many more 90%+ black than 90%+ white areas

2)Janey was Roxbury’s councilor, people vote for their councilor

1) not by a large margin, and including the other “solely for skin color” candidates more than makes up for it - 74% instead of 44% because black vs 44% because white.

2) That’s nice but what about Mattapan and mostly black parts of Dorchester? Their combined population is a lot larger than Roxbury.

In the sense that many upper class whites are to blame, I tend to agree. The way that gets translated to the ground game however, is completely wrong. And there are numerous non white co-conspirators.

Essaibi-George to me can pass off as a White person but she has routinely touted the fact that she is half Tunisian and does not consider herself fully White, at least not of full European descent. I think people voted for her on account of her policies, not by her looks.
