Fwiw Waterbury is a 20 minute drive from Williston for big box shopping and multi movie plex, while Montpelier
(the worlds cutest capital city btw) is 20 minutes in the other direction, with an indie theatre, and lots of little restaurants and shops--you wont find many chain stores in Montpelier.
of course Waterbury is also 20 minutes from Stowe and the Mad River Valley---I do love central Vermont, lol!

Found what seems to be the perfect rental for us... in Barton. Now definitely out of the subject as far as Burlington goes but... Any inputs on that?

]Good luck darky and welcome to VT! Richford is probably one of the last places I would recommend for anyone to move to....very isolated and down on its luck. I hope your experience will prove me wrong!

Yeah, I know, but we were looking for something cheap to start with, with 3 bedrooms, and it didn't look possible anywhere else. The house is really cool though, an old victorian with big yard and attic, and really cool landlords! Also Richford is right on the border and that's what we wanted. My parents went to visit and they were saying the area is very poor and there's nothing to do lol. But we're cool with it for now. We'll probably move again next year, when hopefully we have more money and knowledge of the area.

Just want to say this! We are having a great time here in Richford, meeting really great people and enjoying the beautiful weather. Of course it's June but let's just be positive alright lol!

Glad to hear! In our time here I've only been to Richford twice and each time it was for a very very short time, but it didn't look bad to me.
