Gee, it looks like once again facts are just not on the side of the California haters. I imagine this will be upsetting to those who have delighted in predicting the demise of our great state, but we are leading the country in job growth. Chris Christie is touted by the California-haters as a great leader, but his state is dead last.

Andrew Puzder, an executive who joined California’s delegation to Texas, said he’s no longer considering moving his company’s headquarters from Carpinteria to escape the state’s taxes and regulations. Puzder is chief executive officer of CKE Restaurants Inc., which operates the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s fast-food chains.

There was even a thread around here some where about CKE (Carl's Jr and Hardee's) talking about moving their headquarters to Texas but it turns out it just wasn't worth it and they're staying put. The differences in tax rates were so small it turns out the move just wasn't justified. No doubt many execs rebelled too because they wanted to stay in California instead of moving to an arm pit like Texas.

But, but . . . you can afford a seven car garage, a major bass boat, three trucks, which you couldn't do in California!

And the weather is just as good! Sure, you have the six months of 100 degrees and 95% humidity, but the rest of the year is great! And the mountains around El Paso - just like the Sierras! And the Gulf? Its just like Big Sur!

And with no public land, you can have 100 acres of mesquite for every household! Your kids can play on the oil rigs and longhorns!

Not so fast, California is the new McJob leader. North Dakota is the overall leader in high quality high paying jobs.

And California has the 3rd highest unemployment rate in the nation at 49th place.

In July 2012, the unemployment rate increased in California.

As the unemployment rate is increasing in California, while they create the most jobs. Apparently they are creating lots of jobs, while at the same time they are losing so many jobs the unemployment rate is increasing not going down due to all the new jobs.

Texas is in much better shape than California financially, proven by Texas has a higher general-obligation credit ratings than California from both Moody’s Investors Service and Standard & Poor’s. Texas completed a $9.8 billion sale of one-year notes Aug. 21 at yields of 0.23 percent, a week after California paid 0.33 percent to 0.43 percent on $10 billion in short-term notes. In other words, California has to pay 50% more to borrow money than Texas. The wealthy and big investments, trust Texas way more than they do California.

My husband and I have been blessed with OUTSTANDING jobs and income in Western North Dakota. This state gets over looked by the democratic driven media who seldom speaks of the 17,000 job openings, unemployment as low as 0.7% (Williams County). Did you know that numerous geologists predict more oil in the Bakken Formation than ALL of Saudi Arabia. Since these are mostly non-green, shovel ready fossil fuel energy jobs, this gets ignored.

The once small, locally owned business that my husband works for, had 47 employees in 2007. Today they employ more than 1,100. And they DID build this themselves!
