More to pay attention to with this virus.

Mr. Trump has embraced Dr. Atlas, as has Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff....“I think Trump clearly does not like the advice he was receiving from the people who are the experts — Fauci, Birx, etc. — so he has slowly shifted from their advice to somebody who tells him what he wants to hear,” said Dr. Carlos del Rio, an infectious disease expert at Emory University who is close to Dr. Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator.

Dr. Atlas is neither an epidemiologist nor an infectious disease expert, the two jobs usually associated with pandemic response. But his frequent appearances on Fox News Channel and his ideological surety caught the president’s eye.

Since you made the point about the details of the story being fully available to read from the start, did you not note that the salon owner, who took the security camera footage to the press revealing the transgression, admits she was told days in advance that the stylist would be doing Pelosi’s hair? ... and claims to have been powerless to stop the appointment? What kind of bs is that you and so many are falling for?

The salon owner admits she knew in advance and did nothing to stop the violation. She didn’t notify Pelosi’s staff, nor the authorities. She allowed the violation to occur and then went running to the media with “film at 11!”

THAT is a set-up.

And no, Trump’s flaunting behaviors don’t make it okay. They draw the salient distinction perfectly.
Not many people that have lost their businesses and life savings due to the lockdown that never ends are chuckling..... they’re too busy trying to survive

The issue having to do with the difference between salons and barbershops being allowed to open differently in different areas of the state.

So, do I believe Pelosi and her staff might have missed a distinction amidst changing categories of allowances? Sure. Mistakes happen in all sorts of life issues, especially in extremely complex times and venues. As I asked previously: is there a pattern of belligerence toward compliance with standards? Or not?

Nancy Pelosi is not a state house representative involved in daily internal California Covid response juggling. She is a national congressional representative, furthermore Speaker of the House and 3rd in line to the Presidency. Does it really stretch credibility to believe she relies - heavily - on staff to follow and adapt her every move to near infinite minutiae?

Your assumption / expectation she should be personally aware of every detail - as if she could, given the complexity of her ranges of responsibilities - is just blind to reality.
So while your average CA citizen, who are also not "involved in daily internal California Covid response juggling", aware of all of this, you don't expect one of our congressional reps to be? Especially one that is so visible? I guess you just have lower standards for our representatives. Whether she truly knew or not it looks bad and rightfully so. Her response today just made it worse, she should have just taken responsibility and been done with it. Now she’s just given the press and republicans more fodder.

Bs sav. Your average California citizen isn’t 3rd in line to the national presidency. Very few people in the state have anywhere near the complexities of duties and schedules. That's just weak ...

Why should she take responsibility for a set up from opposing forces?

Hogwash.

Given that at least half of my female friends either make arrangements to be the only client in an otherwise closed salon or pay hair stylists to come to their home, if you want to go after Pelosi for this you need to do it quick this nonsense probably has a half life of about 12 hours.

The security footage shows Pelosi walking - with wet hair - from the wash to the styling chair.
I can't see why, after her hair was washed, she couldn't put her mask back on. And somebody was walking in her wake, presumably an employee at the salon or part of her security team. And also what's not allowed, or appropriate, is for her to have her germs blown all over the room with the hair dryer, which is one of the reasons indoor hair styling has been forbidden.

The real story here is she doesn't think the rules apply to her.
What?

"This business offered for the speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business," Hammill said. "The speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment."

She did put her mask back on. Sorry her behavior wasn’t as rigid as your beliefs call for. Regardless, this is a bs set up.

You’ve been quite amusing to read since the Covid crisis. So much compassion for people’s suffering and potential exposures. Hard to connect you are the same guy who advocated so many times for the homeless to suffer so many kinds of cruel demises - such as how you felt they should be herded by cops with electric cattle prods and shoved out of helicopters.

I do commend you for finding your humanity connection, in any case.

Yes, it was. But past is past and Exitus has expressed a lot of compassion for those fallen by this viral scourge, Covid-19. So I won’t dwell on the contrast
