Opposed it by grandstanding (which I'll remind folks again resulted in her vote registering IN FAVOR of redistricting)...that's not doing ANYTHING that provided a direct impact to either children, teachers or other staff in UCPS, nor did it "bring anyone together"...that action of grandstanding was meant for show and just added to the divisiveness.

Since you're so willing to stick up for her Plutark I'll ask again: list her accomplishments for her first 4 years on the UCPS BOE?

is that how it works Yankee….i provide you the resume and you shoot it down….lol….no thanks. You want to openly debate, have at it, but it sounds like you are closed minded enough as to give her no credit for anything. so by her opposing redistricting, she "just added to the divisiveness"….so in your mind, she just should have went along? is that how it works? Lets call it like it is, according to you, she has done nothing and just added to the divisiveness. Yet, when her opposition came up against her, fully on board like a good little sheep with the redistricting plan and fully backed by sitting BOE members and the leaders, what happened? She BURIED him….he couldn't even win his own precinct where his neighborhood votes, she crushed him there too….care to explain that?

I'm not asking for a resume, I'm asking for someone who's obviously a very strong supporter of Marce to be able to LIST ACCOMPLISHMENTS she's achieved in her FOUR YEARS on the Union County BOE. I'm not looking to shoot things down, rather I'm looking to see all the great things she's done for the County to warrant such strong feelings from supporters such as yourself.

Keep it on point, my question had nothing to do with votes for Marce vs. Jason - can you just simply answer the request without changing the subject away from that point?

Personally, I can't speak for anyone's accomplishments on the BOE. Have any of them done anything worthy of praise? Where was Stewart when the trailers were being wheeled up to Wingate? Where is Yerhceck's long term plan? What has Collins done to improve BOE policy? If you want to call someone out about being divisive let's not overlook the holier than thou reading from Collins at Marvin Ridge last year. Let's not diminish the impact of Stewart name calling on social media. What have Helms and Guzman done other than rubber stamp everything that came before them? What happened to not needing to redistrict again for 5 years? They couldn't even make it 5 days.

What I will say is this... sometimes doing nothing is the right course of action.

What makes you say she is "useless to actually do anything"…..based on what?
"she is unable to work within the constraints of her position"….again, what evidence do you have that she cannot do this? Or is it your contention that because the redistricting plan passed, anyone who opposed it should be removed and replaced with people who just "go along"?
In this regard it is an absolute - her position. This is not a testament to her as a person, a parent with a kid in the schools, etc. Let's talk about her performance as a board member. Take a step back and look at what she's done that amounted to anything with regard to facilities... because whether you like it or not politics is not fair and it's dirty. This is not a news flash. It it is littered with plain ole run o the mill narcissists. She's out of her league when it comes to "cutting a deal".

If you want to talk about the redistricting - fine. She had every opportunity to do something besides talk and grandstand. She didn't present a single thing that could amount to an amendment and simply gave up in the end. Whether you want to believe it or not, she DID "go along" and is on record not voting against the redistricting.

Like I said, in the end it's a hollow seat when it comes to the facilities stuff. She won't get anything accomplished and will continue to be a doormat on that topic. AGAIN, this is not against her as a person - this is an analysis as an elected official... which is wide open to anyone's harsh criticism... just as I'm sure you do with the other board members.

I love the first local entry on 12/9/10 Home-Central Office for Ethics Course.

She charged to drive from her house to SRES and to MRMS/MRHS. WTF???

Ok, here's a start...

UCPS BOE reimburses at $0.51/mile
NCSBOE reimburses at $0.25/mile + $15/visit

5/10/13
UCPS BOE Home-SPCC, Early College Graduation, 26m
NCSBOE Waxhaw-Monroe, Union County Early College Graduation, 70m (wtf???)
- Travel report says 70m but detail report says 24.6m

5/22/13
UCPS BOE Home-Western Union, Supt Atkinson visit, 16m
NCSBOE Waxhaw-Monroe, Western Union State Superintendent Visit, 30m (wtf???)
- Travel report says 30m but detail report says 24.6m

And that's just her first State Travel Report...
