yep - the Detroit comparisons just show the poster doesn't know much about the city

the "bad" part of the city is doing bad and the "good" part of the city is doing good

I've got three new apartment buildings going up near me and I jut received the renewal notice from my land landlord saying rent is going up another $80 this year

Do rents in the city always go up that high each year?

Depends on the area and the market. Generally no, but I'm on the west edge of the Loop and they been going up every year for a while.

What exactly would the national guard do here? That has to be the dumbest suggestion ive heard. Do people think its like an all out war on the streets of chicago with crossfire going back and fourth?
