But my point is he is not doing anything at all which is why Trump now will have to do something. And why do other Mayors not have this issue in other city's? There is a reason national or hell even worldwide focus is on Chicago

Um, what will Trump do? Oh yeah, he knows a cop here who can fix it in a week.

Another issue that exists now that didn't exist 10 years ago is the on-line taunting between gangs that rapidly escalates into shootings and retaliatory shootings. One of the lesser acknowledged "advances" of technology.
But don't NYC and LA (which also has a huge gang culture) both have to deal with the same anti-police sentiment and online/technology problems too??? Those are problems for every major city. Why have the 2 largest cities (that were both at one time more dangerous than Chicago, and LA which has a huge gang culture) able to have better results???

4. If police feel like they cannot do their jobs without violating the rights of most people in the community, then that is a major problem that needs to be discussed and addressed. Would then fine citizens of the north shore sand for being frisked anytime they left their home?
And to hell with the extra 360 some people killed compared to 2010 right? There's a serious problem in some of these communities that has to be dealt with, unflinchingly. Gun control, social programs, and other policies have not worked.

Chuy wants to run again in 2019.

It is happening in other cities. There are cities with double Chicago's homicide rate. There is also very little that Trump can do. Federal agencies are already in Chicago. He can increase their presence, but that's about it. The National Guard can't do anything because they're not legally allowed to serve as Chicago's police force. Trump could stick them on street corners, but that's about it.

This will do nothing to stop gun violence in Chicago.

Gentrification might be one reason. As we know, most of the homicides in Chicago occur in 8 Community areas. If we were to take those out Chicago would have a pretty low homicide rate. Those cities also don't have aggrements with the ACLU to my knowledge which place limitations on street stops that the U.S. Supreme Court did not.

And there isn't anything for him to do. Let the criminals kill each other, is a faster solution than what the legal system can do.

Most people who are killed, "just got out of prison." Your solution is to keep them in prison longer? That costs more for tax payers.
