Originally this was going to simply be a reply to post #132 of the following thread. //www.city-data.com/forum/chris...hristians.html But I decided to make it its own thread to make sure more people see it. And most of it is now addressed to everyone. It goes beyond what I had intended to say to the poster of the above thread.

To be blunt, you don't know what you are talking about. And you don't know what I am talking about.

Now I have been talking about capital punishment which is ordained by God to be used by human government to punish those who commit capital crimes such as murder. God's mercy and compassion did not prevent Him from mandating capital punishment. But now, moving away from that subject...

Get this through your head. When God's mercy is rejected, His justice must come into play. For those who die without Christ, that means eternal condemnation in the lake of fire.

The same Jesus who rode the donkey during His first advent will return with the armies of heaven on white horses. And from His mouth will come a sharp sword with which He will smite the nations. The first thing Jesus Christ will do when He returns is to destroy the armies which are attacking Jerusalem. He will judge the nations, throwing into the eternal fire all unbelievers, for the Millennial kingdom will begin with believers only (Revelation 19:11-21; Matthew 25:41,46).

Yes, when Christ returns, He will be treading the wine press of the fierce wrath of God the Almighty.

God takes no pleasure in punishing those who reject and rebel against Him, but He is every bit as much a God of righteousness and justice as He is of love. And His love will not save from the lake of fire anyone who dies having rejected His offer of salvation.

Eternal torment and suffering awaits those who will not come to God the Father through Jesus Christ who Himself is God the Son.

The foolishness of those who will not heed God's warning. To disregard the Scriptures which make absolutely clear the reality of the fate of those who die without Christ.

The very reason that Jesus came into the world was so that anyone who would believe in Him would, on the basis of the Cross, have eternal life. Not some asinine age-during life. God gives His very own life which is eternal life to those who believe in Christ. A single moment of faith in Christ is all that it takes to obtain eternal salvation. But those who depart from this life without having trusted in Christ for salvation have forever thrown away their opportunity to be saved. And those of you who don't have sense enough to understand this will forever regret it.

Those who espouse the Satanic doctrine of universalism have been running amuck on this forum lately, and they know not what they do. They claim that everyone will be saved. That is a lie from the pit of hell.

God made salvation possible, but it is your responsiblity to reach out and take it through faith in Christ. And if you do not do that before you depart this life, then you will NEVER do it. Your chance will be gone. You will have thrown it away. God's holiness will not allow Him to simply save someone who does not come to Him through faith in Christ within the window of opportunity - your time on this earth, that God has given you.

God has given you a certain amount of time to make the most important decision you will ever make. Once your time runs out, you will depart from this life and your eternal destination will be irrevocably set. Heaven or the lake of fire. Eternity in the presence of God or eternal separation from God. Eternal happiness or eternal misery. The choice is yours. For your own sake, you had better get serious about it.

And do not allow yourself to be seduced by the false gospel of universalism. It is one of Satan's snares for the unwary.

And what will you do if you wake up in the spirit world and find that you have been decived? Will you find that which is Truth, Beauty and Goodness or will you remain stagnate and choose to not follow the true teachings of Jesus? And what will you do when you find that Jesus is not God, nor ever claimed to be, and He is a different person than you thought because you had never met Him or talked to Him about the very things you describe. What will you do when you find that Jesus' kingdom is not of this world but the spirit world where all can be forgiven and live in the paradise of the jews or the paradise of God.

If the God you are describing is the Father of all, I truely don't want to strive to love Him because He sounds unmerciful and unforgiving. He sounds like He has no love for anyone no matter what they have done. Did you know that there are very few "sinners" in this world yet by the proclamations of religion, every person is a "sinner". Sad really that men think they have more control over the love of God. What is even sadder is when you realize that Love commands the universe and you find yourself in the very place you are condemning others to.

and he even died for gay ppl, democrats, universalists and muslims! imagine that. (thought I'd throw that in because there sure does seem to be a hate list out there).

You make assertions that are unscriptural and contrary to God divine nature. You have sinners remaining in sin for the rest of eternity. No where in your theology is sin ever eradicated. The God of the Universalists has sin being eradicated and Jesus Christ accomplishing His purpose to destroy sin. Your theology has Jesus Christ moving sinners to a new location where they will be in rebellion against God forevermore and sin itself will have exclusive dominion over their souls. Sin can care less if it has dominion now in this world or in a fictional place call Hell so long as it has reign over its subjects. This is the fallacy of Eternal Torment. It depicts a god that cannot save or will not save everyone that it created knowing full well the outcome from the beginning.

Truth of the matter is that ETers don't know what the lake of fire is. They don't understand how God saves. They don't understand His nature and power.

The God that Universalists believe in is the one that said to "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES".

The God that Universalists believe in is the oen that said "What REWARD have you if you Love only those that Love you?"

The God that Universalists believe in is the one that said "He desires not that ANY should perish".

The God that Universalists believe in is the one that said "That He will have ALL to be saved".

Wake up ETers and drink the knowledge of God's Universal Saving power! Be removed from the gospel of fear and death and unto the Gospel of Joy and Salvation.

The real HELL that the scriptures speak of is GOOD and WONDERFUL!!! The Lake of Fire is GOOD to those that experience it. The ETers don't know this because they have looked at God's words with their feet in the dirt. They see everything as earthly. They need to rinse their feet and begin to think spiritually. Then will they perceive how wonderful the Lake of Fire is. Then will they think Heavenly.

No, I did not say that not believing in hell will cause you to go to hell. As I plainly said, anyone who dies without believing in Christ will spend eternity in the lake of fire. Universalists deny this and promote a false doctrine.

I also said that God can not allow His love to prevent Him from exercising His justice. Anyone who dies without believing in Christ remains under eternal condemnation and will spend eternity in hell. One poster asked, why I am so adamant. Because it is the absolute truth.

Christ died for everyone. That does not make salvation automatic. Salvation is contengent upon faith in Christ. Everyone who is born into this world is already under condemnation. And anyone who dies without believing in Christ remains under eternal condemnation. And that means that that person will remain eternally separated from God. The place that God has designated for that person is first, hades, and then at the end of the Millennium, permanent residency in the lake of fire.

And I warned people not to be deceived by those who promote universalism.

Clear enough???

The god that universalists believe in is not the God of the Bible. Because you have rejected the truth, You have given yourself over to deception and don't know what you are talking about. And no amount of explaining things to you will do any good because you willingly remain under delusion.

Most Christian Universalists believe in Christ of the bible who died for the sins of everyone. Are you saying you believe in a different Christ that perhaps did not die for the sins of everyone?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
