Then what's with all the Mary worship? Mary is not the queen of Heaven. Nowhere in the bible does it say Mary is the queen of Heaven. She was chosen by God to be the birth mother of Jesus just like God chose others in the bible to bring His plan further to completion. It does not mean they were anymore or less valuable than anyone else. She is/was a sinner like everyone else on Earth. Catholicism makes people in the bible who were chosen by God to be or do certain things out to be like upper ranks amongst humans. They are not. Everyone who believes in Jesus for their salvation receives the same thing, eternal life in Heaven. Grace puts everyone on equal ground and we are saved by God's grace. It is a gift, not a reward.
You really have NO clue; I swear, some of you are the reincarnation of the Know Nothing Party of the 1800's.
The "Roman organization"???? Is that your pathetic idea of a slap at Holy Mother the Church? Nice attitude for someone who I'm certain self-righteously convinced himself that he's the epitome of a "Christian."
Those of your ilk seem so threatened by the Church, which has been around for over 2,000 years, and will be for 2,000 more years.
I am not threatened by the man made organization that has been around for only about 1700 years or so after it was taken over by the Roman government to be a tool for them.
Well I have to admit the Roman organization is in the bible. No leader is mentioned or a part of the bible but it is prophesied in Revelations. That is one thing it can claim. It is mentioned in bible. Right near the end.
Catholicism is 2000 years old and therefore it is full of a rich cultural heritage and traditions. Catholicism is not a new Protestant sect with no history or background. In Catholicism we have old traditions that protestants cannot have since some of those Protestant sects were created just the other day.
Mary is not God, she is the mother of Jesus and she is honored in the church. Likewise, we honor men and women that emulated Christ and called them saints.
BTW, the Hail Mary is in the Bible.
The problem is you do not understand old traditions and rituals because some Protestant sects have no history.
Show me where it says anything about "hail Mary" in the bible. Mary did not die for your sins, Jesus did. You can honor whoever you want but they were all sinners like the rest of us.

Jesus taught those of us who follow Him to pray to Our Father in heaven in His name. The roman organization teaches to pray to dead people. Not the same religion at all.

That's what I'm thinking. If Mary was so much more favored by God then why wasn't she raptured into Heaven like Elijah was? She was the mother of Jesus. Elijah was just a prophet. hmm...

Here you go!!!
Quote:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Luke 1:28 "And he [the angel Gabriel] came to her [Mary] and said, 'Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.'" Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Luke 1:41-42 "When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the child leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, 'Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.'"
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Catholics ask Mary and other saints to intercede for them to God on their behalf, in much the same way Protestants, Jews and many other religions ask other people to pray for them or for our loved ones. Catholics believe that saints, as paragons of virtue, are particularly well-suited to intercede on a person's behalf.
I really would if I could. Prejudice is hard to break down though.
