The Bible is the living Word of God. It will appear foolish to the unsaved and spiritually dead.
Nice of you to ignore everything I just said and then claim the exact opposite. I am not at all religious, in any way, let alone the ways YOU would consider "saved" or "spiritual". Yet as I JUST said, but you ignored, the Bible is interesting, inspirational, beautiful literature, which I seem to get more from than many people who claim to be Christian.
Perhaps the way forward is to tell us just what YOU think rather than go around telling us what you think other people think. Let THEM tell us that.

Nothing about that is amazing or worthy of the term "prediction" though. If you espouse something that will seem ridiculous to people, then expecting to be mocked for it is par for the course and to be expected. I prefer to say the biblical writer claimed that Moses, ALLEGEDLY speaking for the biblical god, commanded genocide and rape, assuming these biblical accounts are true. Then again, such "acts of war" were/are commonplace so it stands to reason such things may have happened in that wild, crazy, superstitious world of that day. Claim Moses, a so-called holy man of God, commanded it and it becomes justified.

THICK? It is deeper than glasses--it is a thought process so ingrained, they are able to JUSTIFY the WORSE atrocities DIRECTED by their god and not even realize there is NO difference between many of those acts and what the worse serial killer in history had done.
I once had an evangelical justify the killings at the schools as his god's way of preventing some of the children from becoming the next Hitler or sinning so greatly the child would be LOST and DAMNED for eternity.
When I applied his logic to ABORTIONS, he went ballistic screaming why would his god kill innocent children who never had a chance to decide if they wanted to die??????
Innocent children who never decided to be shot 5--15 times with an assault weapon was acceptable, but a woman making a choice was NOT???
