When I finally read the Bible I discovered that. But your religion still teaches a fear-based faith.

No. The only reason to fear is if you throw away your wedding invitation. See Luke 14.

Where does it say we should be fearful for throwing away a wedding invitation a way. Jesus never mentioned this in that parable so why are you and Finn Jarber ?. You are invited every moment to dine at the table with Jesus, do you?, does that mean you have thrown away that invitation if you are not?.

Fear is the only motivator for your faith.

Forgiveness is the motivator.

Acts 3

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Your sins are blotted out the moment you see Jesus was never holding them against you in the first.... then the times of refreshing comes. Camps just rewriting the doctrine of fundamentalist beliefs. Go in peace, neither do i condemn you.

Forgiveness is common sense. Most people understand that if they are able to forgive the trespasses of others, then their own trespasses will be forgiven. Forgiven by God, their own conscience, or whatever.

But even knowing and understanding about forgiveness, it has nothing whatsoever to do with believing in an invisible man in the sky. Not to be disrespectful, but I am just trying to make a point.

Many people have a difficult time asking God for forgiveness.

Does it say anywhere in the Bible that you must ask God for forgiveness?

What I remember it says anything you bind or set free on earth will be bound or set free in heaven. In other words, if you forgive others your own sins will be forgiven in your own mind.
