I also believe that Jesus did the work that saves "all mankind". Both objectively and subjectively. However, salvation is not received subjectively until faith.

If, as you say: Jesus died for all, and that scripture clearly designates it as for "the one who believes", then all will believe.

I realize that is the UR view, but the passage in question does NOT say that.

Universal Reconciliation is in the Scriptures, whether you want to believe it, or not, doesn't alter that fact.

Your belief in the Bible and not Jesus is such a sad thing to behold. You are a Christian so you should believe that Jesus is God, NOT the Bible! What a travesty. Getting people to follow the Bible instead of Jesus has been the most Satanic thing that has happened to Christianity. It completely negated Christ's unambiguous demonstration of God's agape love! The deeply disturbing tragedy of it all is that you THINK you are SINCERELY following Jesus and God!! It is heartbreaking!

Jimmie: In the case of the jailer, his believing extended to salvation of his entire household.

I was concluding what you had stated. The text states that Jesus justifies the ungodly, and that is what I believe.
