This is crazy. I did not see this coming. Milo's no longer gay.

Tough crowd...

Oh well, I'm in good company.

Luk 8:52, And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
Luk 8:53, And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
Luk 8:54, And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
Luk 8:55, And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
Luk 8:56, And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

I will say this...that I am really very secure in my heterosexuality...happily married, as a matter of fact. I have no desire whatsoever for the things that you want to accuse me of having desire for. It is merely wishful thinking on your part. For I am certain that your reasoning is that if I am really like you, that you don't have to change or repent in order to come to Christ.

Fact is, I may have even had those tendencies before I gave my heart to Christ...

But, as the scripture said, "And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."

Since becoming born again, I have had more trouble with heterosexual porn than anything of a homosexual nature.

Fortunately, I have been free of that also; going on two years now.

Not a long time by most standards...but considering how often I looked at porn, it is a good accomplishment...and the Lord Jesus Christ gets the glory for what He did in my life; because I am not going backward. There is too much scripture in my heart to keep me walking the straight and narrow path for me to ever go back to the old ways; and I intend to keep plugging away at it so that it may continually remind me of what I once was and who I am now in Christ.

I understand also what it says in 1 Corinthians 10:12...so I remain on my guard. The very next verse tells me that I don't ever have to give in to temptation.

And I also hold on to promises that tell me that I don't have to fall (such as Romans 8:12-13, Jude 1:24, 2 Peter 1:10, and 1 John 2:10).

I have the victory through faith in Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:57).

This may be an encouragement to someone. I hope that it will be.

For, it pays to be transparent, walking in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7).

I've seen many of these "I'm no longer gay" videos and I'm never sure what they're supposed to prove. So, someone yet again claims they are no longer involved in some kind of past lewd gay sexual behavior. Good for him, I guess, but why do we need to know this? Moreover, why is it always a story as told by a 'former gay person'? Aren't straight people ever involved in - and turned around from - a life of lewd sexual behavior?

This guy comes across as being somewhat different from the typical "I'm no longer gay" crowd in that he claims never to have been 'gay per se' in the first place. Indeed, he claims that NO ONE is born gay and that being gay is as a result of nurture and not nature. The entire video, to its credit, doesn't flaunt the typical "Jesus saved me from a life of sin" cliché. In fact, I got the impression from the video that 'Jesus' is given little to no credit as to why the guy has supposedly given up the 'gay life'. He chose to do so all by himself. Actually, the lack of such typical rhetoric was quite refreshing as I had, understandably, expected a big dose of, excuse the terminology. 'religious bs'.

Anyway, while the video is perhaps overly long I found it to be fairly interesting, I guess. I'm sure there are any number of gay people, however, who wouldn't accept, by their own personal experience, that their being gay is as a result of an absent father as is mentioned more than once in the video.

God did not write those words. People did, Charlie. People.

IMiss is not a "sinner" that you have to pretend to love while hating her "sin", because there isn't any sin. She is one of the percentage of human beings who was born with an attraction to both men and women. That's not a sin any more than being left-handed is a sin. It's not important. Loving one another is important, and telling someone that they are a sinner because they are in effect left-handed is not loving, not Christlike. It's the opposite.

Look at your posts, over and over they are repetitive versions of "but the scripture but the scripture but the scripture but the scripture". Scripture is not God.

I hope that someday your eyes will open and you will stop putting a mere book, the handiwork of humans, above God.
Too soon, MQ! You hit the nail on the head though. They "pretend" to love the person, while telling that person that they have to change who they are or burn in hell. That isn't love, regardless of whether you "have the Spirit of God dwelling inside". The fact is, literalists like Charlie simply don't care about others. They FEAR their God, and FEAR making him angry by accepting people for who they are.

FEAR leads them, not God or their morals.

I must disagree on your theory Mq! We've been over this before, at least I think it was you.

There are many sexual sins, homosexuality is indeed one of them, and let's just be honest here, these sins are worthy of death, as the scripture says.

These are the words of God given to Moses to be written in the Law.

Lev. 20:13

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Now you can say no this not what God said, but it's plainly written for everyone to see.

Believe what you like, I choose to believe God!
Look at this guy pretending to "love" gay people, while saying they should be put to death... People like this shouldn't be allowed to breed or vote.

If fundies were capable of true empathy, they wouldn't be fundies.

If fundies were capable of rational thinking, they wouldn't be fundies.

If fundies were capable of perceiving nuance, they wouldn't be fundies.

If fundies were capable of evolving spiritually, they wouldn't be fundies.

What gives me hope are people like Pleroo, pcamps, thrillobyte, trobesmom, mordant and others who were courageous enough to shed the shackles of fundamentalism and saw their lives immediately improve in all facets.

Sadly, most remain deep in the darkness of their biblical rabbit holes - too afraid of the light to venture forth and grow.

But I'm going to keep annoying the hell out of them by shining my strobe light in their faces.

My only answer to your question is that it is a shameful thiing to even speak of what the disobedient do in secret...so I am not going to mention it.

You know what it is that you do.

I am not going to pollute my brain or the general purity of these boards by mentioning the specifics of homosexual sin.

I also think that it is generally well-known what the intercourse between man and man might be...they use the unnautral hole rather than the natural one; because men do not have a natural hole.

See, now I have gone too explicit. I told you it is a shame to even speak of it...not only that, it is disgusting.
See, this is part of the problem with you guys. You are soooo prudish about sex. You realize straight people use the "unnatural hole", right? In much larger numbers than gay men, if you look at the numbers. Why would you feel shame talking about sex? This attitude is why you all hate gay people. They aren't ashamed, but you find it icky so therefore you dislike them because of it. What is your reason for hating lesbians? They use "unnatural" objects for sexual gratification? Does this also apply to straight women who use these same objects?

Your entire view of sex and human sexuality is flawed.
