Yes. That's correct. They went through cycles of sin, discipline, repentance, blessing, and sin again.
And eventually, they rejected the Messiah. We know that God is not done with Israel yet, as Romans 11 says. But Gentiles have been grafted in, and Gentiles will be saved as well as faithful Jews. But those that reject the Messiah will be the same as any Gentile rejecting the Messiah.

God doesn't consider the Jew who rejects Christ to be a Jew, they are of the synagogue of Satan.
The unbelieving Jews will bow before the believing Jews that God may show that He has loved them.
All through scripture we see the Gentiles joining the Jews believing in the sacrifice that represented Christ.
That verse is not speaking of Gentiles claiming to be Jews, it's speaking of the unbelief of Israel.

I seen a reporter from Fox News in Israel a few months back who couldn't get a single believer in the New Covenant to appear before the camera. They were being persecuted by their own fellow Jews, shutting down their businesses, forcing them to leave the neighborhoods. They live in total fear.

In the first century in Palestine, Christianity was a community of believers. Then Christianity moved to Greece and became a philosophy. Then it moved to Rome and became an institution. Then it moved to Europe and became a culture. And then it moved to America and became a business.
Focus in on that last line, Charlie. And you just might find the synagogue of Satan.

The greatest contribution of the Gentiles receiving the Gospel came from the ministry of the great Apostle Paul. He is the one who tells us exactly the identification of the synagogue of Satan.
They followed him to every city he went in Asia Minor trying their very best to kill him, but never could until his ministry was finished. Then Nero sealed his own fate when he had the great Apostle beheaded in Rome, and the Jews were not innocent of his death.

Wow! Did you come up with that or get it from somewhere else, Jerwade? That's a perfect description of what took place!

I'm not sure who the original author is, but it has been said by others.
Here is another version:
In the beginning the church was a fellowship of men and women centering on the living Christ. Then the church moved to Greece, where it became a philosophy. Then it moved to Rome, where it became an institution. Next it moved to Europe where it became a culture, and, finally, it moved to America where it became an enterprise.
How in heaven's name does any of this address the original posting of this thread?
Christianity is naturally diverse and this is not the place you will find theologians - doctrines vary depending on the denomination in Christianity
People have given their personal or denominational views and now are following their own thoughts and disagreements
