I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch The Passion for the very reason you stated. Just singing hymns and sharing the Lord’s Supper brings me to tears. I’d be a mess watching The Passion. It would be very emotional for me.
Yes. I can sympathize with your feelings. Having watched the movie myself, I can say that it was quite difficult watching the graphic violent scenes of the crucifixion process. The movie might very well have been the most realistic portrayal in all of history of what it meant to endure that punishment.
I never heard of "The Chosen" is it a Jesus movie or a Jewish movie? I've seen the oldies, The Robe, Greatest Story Ever Told. Plus The Island about an Orthodox monk. I'm really tired. About to take a nap. May be back later, may not be back until Monday.
