take away the airport and that would make denver population density 6,100 ppm. i dont think minneapolis has a zip code that is 17,000 ppm but there are areas that i would assume are over 20,000 easily but the zip codes that the areas are in cover much more then the 1 square mile zip code you put down. uptown in minneapolis from hennepin to 35w and from 18the ave to lake street is very dense. minneapolis is clearly not what it once was in terms of population where as denver has more people now then ever. the minneapolis metro can sprawl in any direction it wants so i dont know if minneapolis will ever be at 500,000 again, denver may continue to get denser cause it can only go out so far.

Oh, well that's very subjective, so I don't agree that it's well ahead. They are pretty even in the big picture actually.

I agree with you and I thought blackout did too in an earlier thread but obviously not.

In fact, I would venture to say the amount of people who vacation/visit Denver over Minneapolis is substantial.

I think MINN city is cool and is very underrated but come on your claiming it is way ahead of Denver. From our previous conversations I still think you really never got to know the mile high city. Living somewhere for a couple of years hardly qualifies someone as an "expert'. I know locals that know less about the city than I. Anybody who claims to know Denver must know about its federal workers presence. I mean the federal center alone has 6200 ppl from 26 different federal agencies.
Minneapolis tops Denver in many ways, but I admit that I made a mistake by stating MPLS. is in a different league.

Also, who cares about federal workers? Someone mentioned government employees. I played the game and proved her/him wrong.

I'm not ripping on Denver as I love the city (might even move back some day). I'm just saying the Minneapolis area tops Denver in several areas and I don't see Denver catching up anytime soon. I've lived in both long enough to know.

BTW, have you lived anywhere, but Denver?

Don't take this sh*t personal D-town 720. I'm still down for meeting up with any of you Denver reps. next time I'm in town.

Did Detroit officially change its name to Denver? I was reading about Detroit and the Twin Cities and now I'm totally lost.

I guess that started with Blackout said the Twin Cities were in a different league than Charlotte and Denver, which he then retreated that comment.

That's what I was thinking...?^

And, why do you keep calling Minneapolis "MINN city?"

I don't really agree with the "Denver is much more of a tourist attraction than Minneapolis".
