The data doesn't lie. Houston and Dallas are crime-infested ghettos compared to LA. I surely wouldn't call either Houston or Dallas ideal cities to emulate, given the horrendous crime problem. The "good" conditions of the job market in Houston and Dallas are irrelevant; they are cheap cities where it's cheap to do business in. That's it. They are not glamorous or desirable, these crime-filled pits. They are more similar to 3rd world country cities than world class cities.
Only one Texan doing that and it's Metro Matt. Most sane people on here from Texas knows Houston does not compare to LA.
Worldlyman says LA areas look the same so they're automatically inferior than Houston's. It doesn't matter if they serve different purposes or markets or are more vibrant.

They share the same look.
Ahh. Didn't see his posts. His posts go off the deep end as well as I've gone back and forth with him as well regarding the urbanity of Houston. Though he has said he lived in Southern California and is native to Chicago. They like to portray Houston something that it's not. Most know Houston is not the same type of city as LA and still is trying to mature into itself. Houston was a product of it's era which was post world war 2. That era was mostly suburban oriented spread out car culture era.
