MD, your not the OP.

He didnt say he wanted only "large mega projects"-that was your little interpretation and you apparently thought everyone else needed to go by your definition. Well, No.

-Mass Transit Expansions
-New Major Infill Development Projects
-Multi-Modal Transit Projects
-Urban Park Construction
-New Entertainment Complexes
-Sustainability Projects

I look forward to reading and learning more about each city. May the best city win!
As far as infill development, we can define 'major' several ways.

1. Square footage and/or
2. Number of housing units and/or
3. Height and/or
4. Construction cost and/or

And so forth...

And oh yeah, people can have opinions which they can post too.

Look dalparadise just told me a project I posted was ugly and I didnt cry about it.

That's cool, however, the complaint is that the board doesn't want to see every single individual project going on in any city which I agree with. There is one major problem with that though. I'm not the one who is doing that. Just go back and look at all the posts people are making through all these pages.

Random Poster:

"Hey, here is a 200 unit building being built downtown."

Really though? If I was doing that for D.C., this thread would be 50 pages longer. A 200 unit building here is a dime a dozen. That's why I didn't understand why D.C. was being targeted when we weren't the ones doing it. Well, I do understand, people hate D.C. but it's still surprising to me I guess.

As for the comment about opinion's, I never said you couldn't have an opinion. I asked why you were going around searching for every single post about D.C. to show your displeasure. It seemed excessive to me like you had an agenda. This is especially true because I haven't seen you say anything about all the random 500 individual projects every city has posted. Shoot, posters from Philly must have posted 200 projects. You liked everything being built there? Houston did the same? You liked everything? See what I mean. Where are your negative comments towards those cities or any city for that matter? You go out of your way to comment on D.C.

How is this messy? This is true. A kindergarden student could see it. Did you see this:

So yes, you do have a hidden agenda unless you're going to show me where you talk about anything other than D.C.

I'm leaving so it's all good. I think it's time for D.C. to separate from this board for the foreseeable future. The great recession and the Federal spending over the last 20 years has created deep resentment and hatred in the nation for the DMV. It's better if we just stay to ourselves. I'm sure we will be just fine and I know the rest of you will be just fine too. I don't hate any city anywhere in the nation and I wish nothing but success and prosperity to the rest of the nation. Good luck to San Francisco. It's a beautiful city and it's only going to get better.

Once again you are trying either hijack or get the thread shut down with your messiness.

I live in Dallas and completely agree that it is wrong to use tax dollars to pay Toyota for these jobs.

I would like to see you continue to post large developments in DC in the surrounding areas. Isn't the DC area getting two new tallest skyscrapers? I know one is in Tyson's Corner, the other maybe in Arlington? Not sure.

Anyway, continue to post. Jsimms came on here and bashed Philly yet we're still posting what is going on here.

Yeah, why would you? You didn't design that monstrosity, did you? Since when did Potrero start Houstonifying?

Anyway, please keep posting away. You are only scratching the surface. I'd never even know about abominations like that without you!
