Height is not everything, nor does it make a city feel more urban, imo. Compare Atlanta, or Miami to DC and DC wins hands down on feeling dense and urban. Personally, a city needs to have a nice crop of small of mid-level buildings in addition to tall towers to have a solid skyline.
Anyways, here is some more of what's happening in Boston:
Exactly how familiar are you with what is actually going on in Atlanta or Miami beyond photos of the skyline? I don't know for sure about Miami, but there is currently a huge building boom of mid and low rise buildings. The city is filling in at an amazing pace. I think it's a give that DC is more urban than either Atlanta or Miami, but that isn't the topic.
And the title of this thread is Which MSA has the most major projects coming up: ATL, HOU, DAL, L.A., Seattle, D.C., Philly, Bos, San Fran, or Chi?
Not "List out one post at a time every project proposed or under construction."
It's ok to make it City v City since it's in this forum and the question entails that. I don't think it's ok to take up a post by listing out proposals (I take "coming up" to mean "coming out of the ground") or listing out single, relatively small and bla developments one post at a time.
The thread detailing which CBDs had the most office construction as of Q3 2013 was more relevant to this thread than any of the last page or two of posts.
The thread has essentially devolved into "post any new renderings of your cities' projects as possible". I agree with you jsimms. People need to calm down.
