Seattle about to enter elite skyscraper club

Supertall towers of 1,000 feet or more, until now seen mainly in the Middle
East and Asia, are coming to the U.S., with one now proposed for Seattle.
Developers are responding to demand for city living, skyrocketing downtown rents
and ready capital from elite global investors.

The World's Largest Tunnel-Boring Machine
What do you do if you're operating the world's biggest tunneling machine and
something goes wrong? You're digging along, everything fine, the machine's
five-story maw about to chew beneath the skyscrapers of one of the great
American cities. Then suddenly one day things are not so fine. Bertha—that's her
name, in honor of Seattle's first woman mayor, Bertha Knight Landes—hits
something. A few days later her temperature starts rising. Not good. Then her
cutting head stops spinning.

^what is the status of Bertha? Is the tunnel done? I watched this show recently about how they dug the other hole so they could use cranes to pull the machine out and fix it. However it didn't have the current status of the machine and tunnel.

I'll be very happy when this tunnel done.
The tunnel means they can take down the viaduct and, along with the seawall they are building now, Seattle will have a whole new waterfront.

^My office is visible in that photo. It's also worth noting that of the three towers rendered in this image, the one on the left (Avalon North Station) is well under construction and actually near topping off. The Garden towers (the two to the right) have just broken ground in the past few weeks.

They haven't broken ground on the Garage Towers yet, but the plans are just about finalized. They want to break ground next summer.
