Oh good, I live in the city. Does that mean my take on things get massive priority over yours or what?

How about transit projects in these cities? Isn't DC building a new transit line?

The relatively new Exposition lightrail line which goes from DTLA to Culver City is extending the line to the beach in Santa Monica which will open in 2015. This will add 6.6 miles bringing the total number of miles to a little over 15 miles of track from DTLA to Santa Monica.

The Purple Line is not anywhere near the construction phase. They have been talking about that line for decades.

Such an incredible waste of resources. No wonder the US has such a high output of retards to wealth ratio.

Yea, but that means it's a proposal that's coming up and not actually an active project. Same with the stupid sports and entertainment complex. I think it makes sense to limit this somewhat to things that actually have funding secured and/or are currently under construction.

Ummmm......what part of his comments "They have been talking about that line for decades" would make you think my response was not appropriate?

Also, can't speak for other cities, but D.C.'s stadium entertainment complexes spur major development in their surrounding neighborhoods. If it was another city, I would agree, however, we do stadium districts better than anyone. They end up paying for themselves in about 10 years in D.C. and then some.
