Downtown LA currently has 4,686 condo units in 7 projects (13 highrises) under construction in addition to several thousand more rental units. 2 years ago, there were probably less than 200 condo units under construction, so I think the demand for for-sale units is finally starting to be experimented with on a large scale.
The Dallas and Seattle ones are both likely to be supertalls in addition to new tallest for each respective city. The Detroit one can likely be the new tallest for the city, however not a supertall. Still impressive nonetheless.

That Detroit building really looks impressive. Dallas looks great from a distance and its buildings lit up with its buildings outlined in lights. But it is on street-level. Dallas it deficient in its new shiny buildings.

Very nice! To join new tallest buildings for NYC, Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco over the past couple of years. The US is seeing a nice round of skyscraper construction with this boom.

Dallas northern suburb Plano has a large 250 acre project called Legacy West. It has campuses under construction for delivery this year for Toyota's north american HQ move of 4k jobs from Torrance. Liberty mutual is going to occupy twin midrise towers this year for its 5k jobs in this project. Chase bought 50 acres and building to consolidate 6k local jobs to this project late this year. There is a lot of retail, higher density residential and restaurants going in as well in this urban looking project.
2 miles north in Frisco is a mile long area on either side of the North Dallas Toll road there is an announced $5Billion of construction on several projects including a new HQ and practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys.

Here's another rendering of the proposed building in Dallas
So if I read that article that was linked correctly, Atlanta's Opus Place tower is now shorter because a luxury hotel pulled out of the plans? What's the cause of that pull out?
The article mentioned something about an envisioned 74 story tower (for varied multifamily that would've been in the 900+ foot range) scaling back to something like 53 stories (which would top out somewhere in the 700 foot range).
Is that right?
