That being said. Atlanta

(Edit) First thought was Seattle. Two major things, that made me decide ATL are: Climate and Diversity/Culture.
(2nd Edit) Maybe it isn't that simple.

The "N'awlins" thing is what stands out to me. I'm from East Texas and the only people I ever heard say "N'awlins" were idiot tourists. They would correct people with that nonsense. I never heard that, except on T-shirts and from Midwesterners. Why do people latch on to this "N'awlins" nonsense?

A jerk from Ohio who's been to New Orleans once will quickly and proudly correct you if he hears you correctly say "Neworlins". It's really strange.

People actually voted for Orlando and Phoenix? Wow. Some people in the Sunbelt are truly more delusional than I initially ever conceived was possible!

Atlanta:
  • In the "Empire State of the South"
  • Multiple "downtowns" - i.e clusters of high-rises and skyscrapers.
  • Has a baseball team associated with an eccentric, bombastic owner. (Turner, Steinbrenner)
  • Media center
  • Giant airport / transportation center. The hub of its region
  • Associated with a fruit (peach/apple)
  • Banking center
  • Former home to a professional wrestling league that rivaled one based out of "New York" (actually Stamford, CT, but WWF/E's main venue is MSG, while WCW's was Atlanta's Omni, then the Georgia Dome)
