Weird, right?

Minneapolis is by no means more urban than Seattle.

Atlanta is a joke. No other way to put it. Third tier city if there ever was one.

Wow, interesting! Pretty cool accent-definitely hear some Philly or East Coast influence in certain words. "Ask" is pronounced like she's from Northeast Philly haha.

What "general idea"? Chicago runs the entire Midwest so yes that puts it on its own tier. Thats not opinion thats fact. What do you consider distance? Because Chicago is only 1 or 2 cities in the nation that runs its region undisputed. The West and South are debatable. East Coast and Midwest are not. New York has the east and Chicago has the Midwest. And if you dont dominate your region then by default you cant compare yourself to Chicago. So how does that NOT constitue a seperate tier? And what does the distance between NY and CHI have to do with the distance between CHI and everyone else?

You really have quite a unusual list of cities there OP! Most of the cities listed have little similar with New York. I guess Seattle would be the best out of the list. For instance, at least Seattle has a harbor.

Personally when I think of cities that are like New York, I tend to think first of Chicago and Philadelphia.

Overall, I would say Atlanta, Georgia would be closest. Otherwise, out of the choices presented on this poll, no City can really compare to New York City, I really only chose Atlanta to avoid looking like a dolt.
