No, saw it. It was reasonable. Also, you're on a forum. Not private messages.

DC is distinctively slower paced. Why not just turn that into a compliment? What's the innate advantage of having to live in a rush or having to bump through crowds? Why is that a better thing? Why wouldn't you just figure that a slower pace of life might be better for someone from a small town?

Of course, blowing your top is somehow the better way to do things.

The one and only reason why DC isn't super packed in one area like NYC and Chicago are is because all of the employment and attractions are spread out in DC. If all the museums on the National Mall were on regular downtown streets and if all those government buildings were in more compact, vertical buildings you can bet it would be a similar vibe. But that's not the case and it is what it is. I still don't think Chicago is faster based (or Philly or Boston or SF) just by virtue of having larger crowds in one area. If that's the case New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Miami Beach are fast paced too. DC and Chicago are about tied as far as pace is concerned.

I always feel like I'm being rushed in DC do not confuse us with Baltimore and people do bump into each other, especially on metro. The pace in the DC area is similar to Northern NJ.

So are we ever going to see these videos of DC where the crowds are so large you can't even see the sidewalk?

I take back everything. Here's an accurate representation of the DC rush hour crush. I didn't realize how much the city has changed in the last 3 years. Oh my! I can see why DC has that "outta my way!" street mentality.

For such a "fast paced city" DC doesn't even have express and skip stop trains like you can find in NYC, Philly and Chicago

More big crowds during DC rush hour. Anybody who's not ready for the fast life should really move to Chicago.

More of the fast-paced DC lifestyle. If you're not careful, you could lose your money in a game of three card monte. In DC, they think fast and hustle hard. I don't think Chicagoans have the street smarts to hang down there.

I think he must have got robbed or something by some of these little thundercats running around these streets or something because his infatuation with anything related to DC is alarming. Something happened to him when he lived here that won't allow him to just let go and move on. Odds are if you see a thread with DC mentioned in the title, he will be in it.
