Raleigh, simply for the climate. Gotta say, though, I've been impressed with the little I've seen of Columbus.
Cleveland, OH, or Detroit, MI?
Cleveland. Despite its dwindling metro AND city population, it still offers a lot; great healthcare, good recreational assets, great people. I've always had a soft spot of the Cleveland/Akron area. If Detroit could add more things to do other than pro sports (which I like), I could go with Detroit. Not saying there's nothing to do, but there needs to be more to do for a metro its size.
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro or Boston, MA metro?
I'm gonna go with Boston, for the same reasons I always use: closer to other major centers on the East Coast, the ocean, and family. Winters are about the same, I think. Minneapolis/St. Paul has a lot going for it, but Boston offers more.

Sedona... better year-round weather, more amenities in town, less regionally isolated (more destinations within a 2 hour drive), prefer the scenery/outdoor recreation activities.
