Asheville. It's in the South and seems a bit more down to earth.

Somerville, New Jersey or Somerville, Massachusetts?

Sommerville, Mass

It is closer to Boston than Somerville, NJ is to NYC.

Although some of those North Jersey burbs are quite nice. They get a bad rap, but they are not terrible.

Gladwyne, PA or McClean, VA?

McLean

I've only heard of McLean, but they both look nice in the pictures. Haven't been to either, but +1 for VA over PA.

Jackson, MS or Charleston, WV

Charleston for me. While neither are super desirable Charleston is in a beautiful setting.

Jacksonville, FL or Birmingham AL?

Jacksonville. Appears to have a better economy. Olympia WA or Concord NH?

Although Olympia, WA is pretty I’d probably go with Concord, NH just to try it out. I think that part of New England is very attractive. I like the scenery and the architecture of the small towns.

Green Bay, WI or Oklahoma City, OK?

I would choose Oklahoma City because it is warmer and has more things to do. The city is improving.

Virginia Beach, VA or Palm Springs, CA?
