Harrisburg, PA or Albany, NY?
H burg. I love this town. Such a nice community that is improving.

Chattanooga, TN or Richmond, VA?

Chattanooga. Richmond is a neat city, but Chattanooga has spectacular mountain views all around and I just feel more at home there.

Albuquerque, New Mexico or El Paso, Texas?

They're both pretty drug crime ridden, from what I hear, so neither, really. I guess I'll pick El Paso so I can be close enough to visit my old haunts and friends in Alpine and Marfa.

Aberdeen, SD or Aberdeen, WA?

Aberdeen, WA. Not far from Seattle. Williston ND or Watertown SD?

Williston is still messed up from the oil/natural gas boom. Watertown is crazy conservative. Neither, but I guess I'll be loyal and pick Watertown.

Trenton, NJ or Gary, IN?

Trenton, NJ or Gary, IN?
Trenton... its downtown area has some nice blocks. Gary has the lake access, but otherwise is less appealing on the whole to me.

Lawrence, MA or Patterson, NJ?

Lawrence. Considering the location it's probably cheaper than NJ. E. St. Louis, IL or Compton CA?

Compton. Not even proximity to St. Louis can redeem East St. Louis. It may well be the only municipality in the United States that I would say has truly, totally, completely gone down the tubes, though I hear that Cairo, Ill., is in that neighborhood.

But since we've brought up St. Louis:

St. Louis Park, Minn., Bay St. Louis, Miss., or San Luis Obispo, Calif.?

That's an easy one -- "SLO," CA. A pleasant little college town situated in beautiful hilly country,
and not far from one of the most spectacular landscapes in the nation, the Big Sur coast.

Reno or Albuquerque?

Albuquerque. More affordable and has a better overall balance of QOL, IMO.

Boise, ID or Roanoke, VA?
