Lawton. At least the scenery's pretty. I dunno if there's anything to do there but I street-viewed around Topeka once and it looked super desolate and run-down.
Galveston. Really charming seaside city with an historic downtown business street, The Strand, that recalls New Orleans' French Quarter in its appearance. Plus it's where "Juneteenth" happened in 1865. (The Emancipation Proclamation, don't forget, applied only to slaves in the territories in rebellion, which means those in Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri remained slaves until the 13th Amendment was ratified. Meanwhile, those in the Confederacy remained slaves until the Union troops liberated them. That didn't happen in most of the Confederacy until the surrender at Appomattox on April 9, 1865. It took a little while for the news to reach Galveston, then Texas' largest city.)

Osage Beach, Mo., or Wisconsin Dells, Wis.?
Wisconsin Dells--I'd much rather live in WI than MO; better summer weather, too, and not far from Madison
