Being associated with Vermont is great ( IMHO), but Ithaca would have a bit more to do..

Denver... Milwaukee has a lot of nice attributes but Denver is in a different class for me with its cultural, economic, and recreational offerings.

Southfield, MI or Hammond, IN?

Southfield, MI. Better area and not isolated. Detroit suburbs are nice.

Carmel, IN or Lee's Summit, MO?

Lee's Summit may have exploded over the last 20 years, but at least it's built around an actual town, while Carmel went into debt to build one from scratch all at once; as Chuck Marohn would tell you, that's not a terribly Strong Town.

Lee's Summit, then. Besides, Pat Metheny hails from there.

Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio?

Tough call. From what I have seen of both cities, I will give the edge to Columbus for its faster growing economy and high quality of life. Cincinnati is my second home, and one that means a lot to me. Columbus is nice.
