The one in Colorado. LA is way too overwhelming for me.

Grove City, Pennsylvania or Hillsdale, Michigan?

Grove City... I love Michigan, and Hillsdale is a nice town, but Grove City is a little more accessible to other places with it being 45 minutes from Youngstown and an hour from Pittsburgh. It also has two breweries in town and a large outlet mall right outside of it which make it more attractive to me.

Alliance, OH or Whitewater, WI? (Bonus if you can identify specifically why these two college towns were selected)

Both have portions located in a neighboring county?

Anyway, definitely Whitewater. Alliance looks much more tired, empty, and spread-out.

Reno, NV or Sparks, NV?

They're right next to each other, but I'd say Reno. It's bigger, so the best areas of Reno are better than the best Sparks has.

Lumberton, North Carolina or Lake City, Florida?

Lake City. I prefer North Florida to North Carolina. Lake City is also very close to the Suwannee River which is one of my favorite places to be.

Bristol, Rhode Island or Gulf Breeze, Florida?

Gulf Breeze. Climate is more my speed. Tempe AZ for Bellevue WA?

Tempe is not as expensive, and both are pretty well off. Phoenix is also growing more than Seattle.

Fort Worth, Texas or San Jose, California?

I prefer Fort Worth and the prosperity with less pretension in DFW over the Bay Area in general.

Omaha or Des Moines?

Definitely Omaha. More scenic (hills on south side + more prominent river), better neighborhoods, more growth potential. And just subjectively, it feels like it crosses the "significant city" threshold in a way that Des Moines doesn't, even though the MSA populations aren't that different (1m vs. 700k).

Hometowns of two people I met yesterday:

Fox Lake, IL or Las Cruces, NM?

Las Cruces. I love New Mexico and wouldn't care to live in Chicagoland; though I will be visiting the area next week.

Loveland, Ohio or Loveland, Colorado?
