Carthage, MO or Carthage, NY?
I would have to pick Carthage, MO since Carthage, NY gets huge amounts of snow and bitter cold winter temperatures. Southwest Missouri has a lot of outdoor recreation assets as well.

Madison, MS or Madison, AL?

I'll pick Madison AL, because I'd rather be close to Huntsville than to Jacksonville. Plus, even though I can claim Alabama in my 50 visited states because I once drove across 10 from LA to FL, I feel guilty because I should go see more of that state.

OK, so:

Nachez, MS or Washington, AR?

Natchez, MS because of location. It has more things to do and interesting history. I would enjoy visiting all of the antibellum homes and eating southern food. It is also not far from other interesting cities.

Santa Barbara, CA or Newport, RI?

Newport, RI
Like the general location and the four season weather is a bit better. Seems like a smaller quieter town with more history and nature.

Casper, WY or Nampa, ID

Nampa. The Boise area would have more opportunities. Columbia SC or Little Rock ARK?

Columbia. I'm just more familiar with it, and every time I visit it reminds me of Tallahassee where I used to live.

Louisville, Kentucky or Austin, Texas?

Louisville. Austin makes me sad, because it used to be cool and now it's just dirty and gross. At least Louisville doesn't claim to be what it is not. Plus, Louisville has the Actors Theater.

Roadtrip towns:

Tucamcari, NM or North Platte, NE?

North Platte is a much better small town. I prefer NM as a state but Tucamcari just seems so desolate. I'll go North Platte.

Washington PA or Washington NJ?
