Lol you right, Jackson 55/32.93...

It's because I changed my criteria lol...

On another note, Jackson and Birmingham have never in their histories been more dangerous than New Orleans, but there's been a strange surge in murders in both cities. Why do you think that is?

Where does all the crime in Vegas mostly occur?

That’s probably one of the only cities that gets over 100 murders but never spoken about.

Wow, can't believe there are places worse than Baltimore. The only possible explanation is that they've gotten so high in Harm City they can't hit their targets.

San Francisco might have a low homicide rate, but our heroin addict throwing up on bus passengers rate is way up there.

That's only because these stats are not to be used as a city by (vs) city comparison or an indication of personal safety.

" It's because I changed my criteria"

I would say that due to New Orleans being far more populous for a longer time frame than Jackson & Birmingham is a reason for higher volume of violence. But neighborhoods comparison is another viewpoint. All 3 cities have a history of violence, yep even little small Jackson was still known for a rowdy town.

Now the issue with Jackson is like elsewhere: Vendetta & Drug related killings. Not enough media attention and local city council always trying to keep it out of mainstream media. The show 48 hours wanted to do filming there ( before Birmingham) and was turned down ( hence so much episodes features Birmingham). The homicides reached it's peak of 94 during the Crack Wars ( 91-95). Afterwards it decline but stayed roughly around the mid 50s yearly ( roughly 40% ish decline). The lowest it had been in the 00s was 34 and highest was 74 ( i think). As you can see it have just remain steady in the 50s-60s yearly. Not this year, it going be in the 70s again.

I was wrong about the homicides after double checking. It's at 53 and it breaksdown like this:
Northside is 32 ( over 130% increase compared to last year)
Westside is 14 ( about same)
Southside is 7 ( about slight increase).
