Call us when you know at least ONE thing about Chicago, mmmkay?
Entire part of the city named after chewing gum. Only in Chicago.
BTW. New YorK is probably the only city in the US where even its parts/boroughs are widely recognized names around the world. Who haven't heard about Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx or Queens?
BTW. Since this is about suburbs. There is a burb in Nassau called Lynbrook. You got it? Brooklyn - Lynbrook. Pretty funny.
You can add "most everything else" to your sentence, too.
Again you prove your parochialism Steve-o. There is no other part of the country, that has so much international exposure as New York. Being an international port, having 1M international tourists a year, Broadway, Wall Street, five thousands foreign diplomats and other UN staff, more foreign corporations than any other city in the US and hosting truly international events such as US Open makes New Yorkers much more aware of the world outside than any other US city. Do not forget that New Yorkers also edit New York Times and most US magazines such as Time or Newsweek.
Again, I think New Yorkers know much more about the world outside than anybody else in the US.
Yeah new Yorkers know more about the world outside. Is this because they're closer to Europe? Oh, this is like the Sarah Palin joke about being able to see Russisa from her house.
No but New Yorkers can see UN headquarters. It's not "Russica" whatever that is, but still....
Seriously, New York's daily paper is New York Times, paper with a truly international focus and global circulation.
Chicago's daily is Chicago Tribune. Irrelevant outside of Chicago with no global or even national circulation. Questions?
Don't know much about Chicago, huh? If you lived there (as you say) you would know about Wrigleyville. For your information, Wrigley Gum's corporate headquarters is in Chicago. The Wrigley Building is one of the best know office buildings in the U.S. (Something you would know if you've ever been to Chicago, let alone live there (as you say).
One of the best known office buildings in the US? Nah. Maybe in Chicago.
