I just care for either Houston or Dallas at this moment .For instance , Dallas might be the best city in Texas , but it's still all backwards and too conservative for an east coast man.Even Atlanta has more to their city :it's small , but it's also just like combining that lame Houston , San Antonio , Austin , and Dallas together. Remember the 1996 olympics! Did Texas get them ? No. Does any lame Texas city have good , dependable public transportation service ? Noooo. That's why I'll never move back to that ole' sorry , boring , and depressing state again. Texas shuts down to early for this easterner and yall can blame your backwater country bumkin republicans for keeping that place down. Yall don't have no casinos or no kinf of entertainment .One thing I can say about Dallas is that it has an expanding light rail system while Houston remains in the bleak post-1970s conservative hillbilly honky tonky past , plus Houston is too dog gone country , big , sorry , dirty , nasty , raggedy , and it relies too much on the lifeblood of the automobile. I'm not just speaking for Houston , but I'm also speaking for the rest of Texas as well. That's the reason why I prefer a much more progressive place over Texas.

Yes a pro business state is very good and Dallas is growing on me; maybe moreso now that the awful stadium is gone, now what to do with the new one....

Did you know that there are theme parks all over the state of Texas and many clubs and museums and parks as well?
Did you know that Houston is currently expanding their light rail system and will have over 40 miles of rail in 2014?
Did you know that you have eastern cities close up shop at 2AM as well.

Okay I get it, you're from the Northeast or whatever. That's cool. So you want to see mirror copies of the cities in the Northeast down here in Texas? Yeahhh, that's not what Texas is about man.
Texas is about being Texas, not the next NY, or the next Pennsylvania, or even the next Illinois.
Yeahh the downtowns shut down very soon here after work actually, but have you been to Uptown Houston, near the Galleria, last I checked it's pretty lively there. In fact ever since I was a little kid, it's been pretty lively there.
The Olympics? Last I checked, Chicago never hosted it either, does that mean it's a lesser of a city than Atlanta or where ever the heck you're from? NO, it doesn't, many great American cities and States have yet to host the Olympics.

Because that causes a lot of family problems, and the earlier governors in Texas were against things like casino's that brought pain and suffering to it's households, so they made casinos within state boundaries illegal. Does that make Texas wrong? No it doesn't, to care for it's residents doesn't make it a bad place to live.
Vegas has a different style to it, it's successful in what it does but that's Nevada, not Texas.
Have you looked into the rail expansion that Houston is undergoing, it's doubling the rail line, and all that within the first 9 years of it's existence.
I'm sorry that you're from the Northeast, and LOVE to travel with your subways, and rails, but here in Texas, we make good with our automobiles, that's the way it's done around here. Don't like it? Then leave, but don't complain, because you chose to live here, that's your fault, if you can't adapt with an open mind, then get the heck out. Every city/state/region has it's importance. And I'm glad Texas isn't another NY, we're original, and that's a good thing. Learn to think with an open mind it'll do you some good in the future buddy...
