Bellevue Washington blows the doors off of San Jose and Oakland CA and Seattle can go head to head with San Francisco anyday , it must be something that they have in the water up in the PNW...........
Seattle Metro 3,000,000
San Francisco 7,400,000
To be fair, Seattle's CSA is around 4,100,000 now, metro around 3,800,000 - still only about half of the bay area's population though. I think the only other 'skyline' the metro has is Tacoma's and a small one in Everett.
Something to keep in mind is many of these suburban skylines only exist because of the bigger metro. Clayton, MO, and to some extent Bellevue, WA would not be as big if they were not located inside large metros.
Maybe a side thread should be "non-suburban cities with huge skylines"

Well Clayton is a lot smaller than Bellevue. Around 15,000 vs around 120,000
Not many suburbs of 15,000 have a skyline like Clayton.
Clayton, MO, suburb of St. Louis, has less that 15,000 people (really tiny compared to most cities mentioned here)
Clayton skyline trumps St. Louis
