Google Maps

I'll still go with Hawaii. One of the best skylines in the US, if only it was on the mainland would people appreciate it more. You can't even see the whole skyline in that photo.

I don't know if anyone said this, but Minneapolis has a nice and big skyline relative to its population of only 390,000

If by city proper I'd go with Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Bellevue and definitely Clayton.

Miami city proper is like 400,000 something but its metro area is like 5 million something and growing, but yeah as far as city propers go Miami's skyline is definitely impressive for its population, 3rd largest in the US.

Don't forget, metro areas have A LOT to do with a cities skyline and downtown for that matter, not everyone working downtown lives in the city, people commute in and out of the suburbs aka metro area that surround the city all the time.

The opposite of this thread can be "Which cities have such a large population that it's skyline should be more impressive?" Los Angeles definitely wins that.

If you're talking about total people in a city proper than Miami and Atlanta. If you're talking about Metro then Pittsburgh.

i got to give it to this person he knows what he is talking about. they say NY and Toronto has the most buildings over 300ft in NA. But I would say this i like Chicago's downtown skyline better than both. And thats coming from a person who loves both NYC and Toronto i think there is no place on earth better than any of these two but thats just a matter of opinion. But I do love Chi- town skyline better it's just amazes me how it spreads and is so neatly joined together.

Atleast most of San Diego's residential skyscrapers are condos and lofts.. not time-shares and hotels.

Oakland has a big skyline for only having 300k
I think Oakland has quite a bit more than 300k (closer to ~400k)
