It's a silly debate. European powerhouses like Paris and London don't exactly have much in the way of towering modern skylines, does that detract from them? Not at all. Having said that, I pick Chicago. Considering it isn't a mega-city (though it's close) its skyline kicks mucho booty is bettered only by NYC and Hong Kong IMO.

Vancouver and bellevue both have good skylines and are both fairly small

Downtown Pittsburgh is only 10 blocks long and 5 or 6 wide. I think it's impressive considering the small space. City pop. is 305,000.

Not 'perhaps'. Definitely. By far the smalles metro population for a city that has a full-sized skyline, and soon they are going to build the 'greenest building on Earth'.

Panama city, Panama. Redirect Notice
It has a metro of 1.2 million, half the population of Pittsburgh, yet has a skyline that could easily rival NYC. Other impressive skylines would be Columbus Ohio, Pittsburgh PA, Seattle, and Miami

Hartford, Ct, and Albany Ny are large for their size, but Albany is ugly.
