This link includes live updates, including some awful ones:
Quote:
Below are live updates from this fire:

4:20 p.m. | Superior Mayor Clint Folsom (mayor of Superior) says more than 200 structures have burned in the fire. It is not yet clear how many have been damaged versus destroyed.

4:16 p.m. | All patients and staff have been evacuated from Avista Adventist Hospital. Anybody with inquiries about the whereabouts of their loved ones and family can call 303-661-1848.
Hope is that winds die down as the sun sets.

The Weather Channel has been on this story for the last hour or so, occasionally breaking to the tornadoes in Georgia. ABC had a 2 minute lead in on national news. For the time being FOX and CNN aren't on this, they're just yammering about the same political divisiveness they do so well.

We lived in Louisville for twelve years. My wife has been getting texts all afternoon from friends in the area. She’s been told that the city Rec Center is burning. Sounds like old town Superior is largely gone, and the Target store in Superior is on fire. Hundreds of homes lost so far.

Awful. Maybe the cold temperatures and incoming snow will help some tomorrow, but it will still be windy. What a nightmare.

Reports now include that Louisville Rec Center, and the whole area around McCaslin and Via Appia are on fire. The good news is that the wind is finally letting up.

It's been hard to track the evac and pre-evac orders. The cities were releasing their own maps and orders. Also referring to the Boulder County map which wasn't being updated with the latest orders from the various cities.

The air has been terrible all day. The fire has been fast moving due to the winds. Earlier descriptions were it was a brush fire in Boulder so some folks stopped paying attention after that.

Louisville is on boiled water and Standley Lake, our water supply, is in the pre-evac area. Not sure where our water plant is. So we filled pitchers with drinking water. We also took photos of everything in our house and put together to-go bags by the door. We are about 5 miles from the evacuation zone and the wind which was blowing it toward us has died down. Now the pre-evac areas are being located to the south so maybe they think that is were it is going and not in our direction.

We called a few neighbors to get their thoughts and a couple were completely unaware that things were as bad as they are. A good reminder to check in with others, just in case.

Several hospitals were evacuated. We think one was evacuated to the hospital closest to us. It must be packed to the rafters with people.

Moving this thread on an current fire threat was not a good idea. People may need quick information on evacuation, and putting this in an old thread makes it very hard to find current information. Lives, and property are at risk. This is happening in Boulder County, and should stay in the Boulder section. Each fire should have it's own thread. My daughter, and I lived in Boulder for 8 yrs, and I am shocked at the devastation. I hurt for all who are suffering. I loved that area.

A YT video said it was 600 homes lost at that time. I'm sure the loss is higher by now.

Snow is supposed to come today which will help. So far no deaths.
