The article was from July, so the full year wasn't yet available to compare. The point is not absolute numbers but the downward trend.

Heavy "homicide season" is May-August.

So I looked at the Before & After maps provided by the DOT: will this actually improve traffic once construction is over? The new Exit feels more clustered, especially since it shares the same ramp to Route 34 going into Downtown.

I am not sure what you mean by clustered. You are correct that shen the bridge is complete there will be one exit on I-95 southbound for both I-91 and Route 34. This is to reduce confusion of have closely spaced ramps. It should operate very well when completed. Jay

Crown/College one is a biggie.

There's also the Wells Fargo building being converted into apartments, the project at Howe and Chapel, the Alexion Building, and soon the parking garage at High and Crown will be converted to apartments.

Winchester Lofts will be opening soon. Interesting to see how that goes, as it's on the edge of the good area of downtown. Hopefully it helps revitalize that area a bit.

The developer has not received any approvals or even shown any real plans for the project. they have just showed renderings which are cartoons at best. I won't believe that the project is going forward until I see something tangible. Jay
