True, I live 3 miles from Somerset Patriots Park and they average a few thousand a game > Bluefish, and draw from a wide area. They also have an adjacent train station, but are in a very safe suburb. Unlike Bluefish, front office staff is long, long term..GM if I recall got an 8 year deal a few years ago..unusual at that level.
I doubt Bluefish have much time to turn 180 degrees financially. Sad. I do like the park.

I'm surprised that the Bluefish are able to keep their head afloat. The attendance is the worse in the league that they're in. It's only a matter of time before they get out of Bridgeport. It's really not too uncommon for minor league baseball teams to move as it was done many times in Connecticut. The Navigators played in Norwich and they moved and we all know about the New Britain Rock Cats. The Northeast is just over saturated with baseball teams. Though hockey seems to be a different story. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have decent support and their attendance is like 16th or 17th in a 30 team league (AHL).

I do agree Southern Ct does not support local baseball..long term..not sure why. My hunch is they end up in Pa. (Fits geographically and IMO can add a team somewhere in eastern half) Fish off a ton of back taxes, btw.

I'm not sure being middle of pack is enough for Sound Tigers, as hockey is a more expensive operation, particularly as an affiliate.

There is 4 baseball teams in CT, 3 hockey teams, 1 WNBA team, and 1 LaCrosse team. Baseball is definitely over saturated in CT. There is a team relatively close in NYC area as well, plus the MLB teams. Be cool if CT could get a Triple A team.

That's a bit much.
I and thousands of others from the surrounding suburbs regularly attend many evening events at Webster Bank throughout the year safely.

Avoid downtown at night if you're worried about being mugged by a lamp post. Other than two very popular restaurants that are packed regularly, it's a ghost town.

"Two thirds of the next 84 units will be affordable housing, with 25 of those going mostly to former residents of the Marina Village housing project, which JHM has demolished and will reconstruct."

Am I understanding this correctly? Marina Village is going to be replaced with a new project also? They are going to need a new school after overloading Barnumsville with Crescent Crossing.
