US Senate stays Republican and big races in Florida went RED. Trump will go after Mama Pelosi and force the Democrats to actually do something. No free ride for 2 years and think you will beat an incumbent President who has a booming economy and created tons of jobs. Now we get to see what Trump will do ? Deal time or else he will just keep campaigning to the people for the next 2 years.
The big prize was the House, so there’s no way the democrats had a bad night overall. The Senate is a silver lining for the GOP, though.

I guess there’s still an off chance Lamont takes this, we’ll see.

Not really. The top prize is the Senate. It confirms judicial appointments.

If we avoid a recession in the next two years, I think the Republicans will continue to hold the Presidency and the Senate. The Democrats will win the popular vote and the house but they are too concentrated in the high COL urban areas.

Trump won’t be forced to release his tax returns. The House will subpoena them from the IRS for review. The public won’t see them. I’m sure some of it will be leaked but I doubt The NY Times and the Washington Post will have access to them.

I see two years with no significant laws enacted. We will still have the nutty trade war and foreign policy. We will still have all the right wing judicial appointments.

Looks like I was right, Lamont will win, and Oz has a strong showing. Looks like Oz played spoiler on Stefanowski big time.

Howdy!

So let me say I don't vote or supports certain Party

With that said no matter what if it is a elected position such as Governor, Senator, or President CT will vote Blue. The reason for Blue is the Cities, with a minor exception of Waterbury.

With that said does this truly represent CT as a whole? Is there a way to represent CT as a whole?

Basically at this point only the Cities should vote for these positions.

Do you think tank choice voting would play a factor?

Do you think CT should do away with paper ballots?

Should we have open primaries?

Should in person voting registration be the day prior to election day?

What's your thoughts?

Well crap. The entire state was red when I went to sleep after midnight.

Run - why do we even have parties? Candidates, put your best face on and voters vote. I asked the same question after the primaries and no one answered.

I think paper ballots leave more room for fraud. Why did we go that way anyway? What was wrong with the old machines where you flicked the lever over? Non-paper and not connected to the internet.

And I absolutely don't think people should be allowed to register same day. Whose stupid idea was that? I'm sure a Dem who wanted the inner city votes. It's pure laziness not to get it done ahead of time.

CT will always be blue because of Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport they offer voters freebies and those cities have strong democrat stronghold. The three cities have voter frauds and corruption.

Strong showing? Oz got 4%, half of what he was polling.
