YNHH currently has 200 Covid-positive inpatients, including 49 Covid patients in ICU beds.

YNHH has 210 ICU beds overall, and is currently at 80 percent of its ICU capacity. I’m not sure what normal capacity is this time of the year, but what people don’t understand is hospitals need to make money, so they don’t tend to operate with a ton of beds open.

They had roughly 450 COVID positive inpatients at the Spring peak.

Haha, I was just going to say the same thing. I just text my sister and she told me 200 and climbing in YHNH

I just got over COVID. 14 day isolation is no joke. My symptoms very mild (fever for 12 hours and slight headache for 1 day). I do not wish this on anyone. I’m lucky to have been able to quarantine and still be able to work and healthy.

This has opened up my eyes on this whole thing. I wear a mask everywhere and always wash/sanitize my hands. I’ve been wearing a mask since March and have multiple masks for random moods I’m in. Lol For the life of me can’t figure out where I got it.

Stay healthy everyone.

I, too, just got over it. What don’t you wish on anyone? The quarantine? Glad you’re better!

Covid itself. The sickness for that 12 hours was pretty brutal. It could have been worse but still brutal. Hit me like a ton of bricks.

Supposedly that's what it will be like the day after getting the vaccine

Ah gotcha. Stinks you got so sick. Strange how it hits some like a bus but others almost nothing.

Felt fine at 3pm Monday. By 5pm, had chills and fever (with sinus-like headache) which did lay me up in bed until 2pm on Tuesday (fever went away early morning Tuesday but still had very very very slight headache).

Yes, hit me very quickly out of nowhere (almost by surprise) but symptoms were mild (no coughing, breathing issues, no smell or taste issues).

Which is why we do all the supposedly crazy things we are doing. Will agree that in hindsight I'm not sure what really works anymore and what doesn't but if everyone got obviously sick from it and you could only transmit if obviously sick none of this would've happened (its what made it's cousin SARS so much easier to deal with in hindsight and why the lockdowns, etc. were limited to China, Hong Kong and Toronto). But that's the aspect that at least suggests the need for lockdowns, you never know who is contagious and the random outcomes after getting it.
