WOW, I am now starting to get a clear idea of the favorites to win the whole tournament. I project the winner will be either: Fairfield, New Haven, Old Saybrook, or Stonington. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens, but those towns are really looking like the strongest and have looked fairly strong and popular throughout the tournament. All four of those towns have had to face tough draws and in the end won fairly comfortably.

I am especially curious to see how Stonington will perform in the finals, because although the town went pretty far in the last tournaments, it never really got tough draws and got knocked out by Guilford in both 2016 and 2018. Really wonder how Stonington will fare against some of the other top towns.

Yes, and I do love it here. I spend a lot of time on the road too, so get a chance to see a lot of the state.

I completely agree. I think that, unless New Haven faces one of these towns very quickly, it will get to the finals (and if it gets that far I think it'll win). There's an energy behind the NH crowd here (and that's a good thing).

But it also matters what draws happen next. For example I don't think anyone thought all of BGM would get out before the round of 16, but that's what happens when
1) they all face each other in the same county, so they had the toughest competition possible
2) there's an enormous (although I think it was stronger earlier in the tournament, because the 4 favorites are relatively traditional... especially since if I flipped my razor close vote Madison would've been there) anti-tradition sentiment
3) voters change.

My point is a lot of it is luck, too. "It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future"
