...or Charlie Baker. Too bad he didn't run for a 3rd term, he would've been a shoo-in.

Yup...and Healey won by 30 points. If Baker could get through a GOP primary, he would win 48 states in 2024.

I guess he didn't show it. He "mis-spoke" 2 weeks before the election saying that abortion should be restricted to the 1st trimester and he wouldn't commit to closing loopholes in the assault weapons ban.

No, vowing to eliminate the income tax last time he ran is being extreme fiscally. Voters don’t forget that this was a promise made to pander to voters rather than a realistic promise. Even his stand on social issues was questionable at best. It certainly is not beneath the Republican Party to lie to get votes. Jay

I think you meant to say "It certainly is not beneath politicians to lie to get votes"

There;'s no far left in CT or the rest of the country. There is a progressive caucus at the national level and they have not accomplished a single thing on their platform. Rosa Delauro is the only CT member.

Conversely, The Tea Party wing of the Republican national party has accomplished plenty and came within one vote of repealing Obamacare. Paul Ryan was so upset that Trump got in his way that he retired.

Its too bad Bob didn't win since I was looking forward to lower energy prices, lower grocery prices, lower property taxes, and an extremely handsome man in the Governors mansion.

I don't think Bob would have really lowered prices on anything to be frank. There's too many local issues that come into play that affect more local taxes. There needs to be a broader plan in order to make anything happen on a state level but I didn't see any of that from Bob.

We're going to have to have some sort of mayor or town manager run for republicans in Connecticut for the governorship. I don't think anybody's going to trust the private sector that much next time. Personally I think Matt Hart might be a great candidate but I doubt he wants to leave where he is

No, while both sides lie, the Republicans have brought it to new lows. My statement stands. Pretty sad. Jay

100% Charlie Baker would win across the board.

Baker, Chris Sununu, Allan Fung (who sadly lost), Erin Stewart etc. are the type of Republicans that can not only win but also do a great job for their States/the Country.
