Amen. Now in radically leftwing Ct the Lawlessness is Great Democratic Party may get away with it, but nationally our Democratic Party representatives in DC will discover they are minority party members after the 2022 elections.

Done. I also reminded our Senators with the anti law enforcement message of the Democratic Party to expect Senator McConnell to be running the Senate again in January, 2023.

Shocking (sarcasm)

Honest to God, anyone who votes Democrat is directly contributing to the problem of rising crime. Throw all them out in 2022.

Not that the republicans are great by any stretch (they aren't) but the dems are the absolute worst

Why didn't CT Republicans fix the crime issues ? They had the Governorship for 20 straight years. Governors have veto power.

You can't be serious, can you?

How COULD they, when the dems controlled the legislature all that time? Um.....last I checked the governors don't make the laws. They sign or veto bill passed by the legislature.

CT has never had 20 years of straight republican leadership.

Not quite true. Lowell Wiecker was a Republican before he ran for Governor in his A Connecticut Party. He still identified as a Republican though so with Rowland and Rell it was a total of 20 years of Republican Governors. I encourage you to read the Republican Party thread to see how often that party has failed us. Jay

MrGompers is correct. Governors have the power of veto. To override it, the legislature needs a 2/3 majority so it can be very effective. Jay

Jay - Johnho is correct, he isn’t talking about the duration of republicans as governor but rather control of all three chambers. Governors don’t draft laws either.
