This thread has been sitting dormant for 3 months. Has juvenile crime decreased or are we just getting de-sensitized to it?

Anywho:

3 Minors Accused of Stealing Car in Wallingford, Snatching Purses in Nearby Towns
https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/...towns/2935294/

"Police have arrested three minors who are accused of stealing a car in Wallingford and using it to commit multiple purse snatchings in the area. According to investigators, the vehicle was then used in several robberies throughout the state in the next few hours in Hamden, New Haven, Wallingford and Meriden."

"Three minors were apprehended and were transported to Meriden Police Headquarters without incident. They are facing charges including robbery, assault and reckless endangerment."

Assuming they are being held and not released to the parents/guardians with a Promise to Appear?

Great question. I'd say de-sensitized at this point. CT's proggy populace voted for juvenile and criminal leniency. The cities, the most prized and affluent suburbs, all of it voted for it. The question is does it eventually lead to injury and death related crimes. Only time will tell.

The juvenile car theft increase in 2020-21 died down. Traffic in this thread reflects that.

Or perhaps it simply doesn't make news like it used to because the law-abiding public has gotten accustomed to stories this. I certainly have. I'm praying we have more occurrences like what happened in East Hartford when that homeowner defended himself against those hood rats who broke into his home and assaulted him in their attempt to burglarize his home. Fortunately, in this case, it didn't go as planned.

Has it?
most revivals were by RoundTable latest news updates as is is the case here, then Bob and Kidyankee would chime in and sometimes myself and Mike. That's about sums up the membership here. Kidyankee probably realizes CT is a lost cause politically and has either moved on or disappeared altogether.

I agree. I'm certainly not in a celebratory mood when I read about stories like this, but at the same time, it's a relief knowing that there are two less incorrigibles out there looking to commit crimes. Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to juvenile offenders that there can be consequences for their actions. You rattle the tiger's cage long enough, eventually he's gonna do more than just show his fangs.
