great to see the actual address...is the street Carroll? hard to read. It was on a small street that crossed the median area of N Shoreline Dr. I think that street is gone, not on google maps.. now under the auditorium or those fountains near the Art museum I guess..

Old data I saved:

In Corpus Christi, Texas, the public library has a digital subscription to TEXAS Sanborn Maps for its patrons. You have to go to the reference desk, show you are a card-carrying library patron (which usually means local resident) and they give you a password. Then you can access the digital Sanborn's maps FOR TEXAS ONLY from library computers or home computer.

Our local history room has a microfilm reel with the Corpus Christi maps and several other Texas cities whose names begin the with letter "C" on the same reel. Sometimes that is better than the digital image, sometimes not. Does not take wait time for each image to come up, but it takes hand-cranking time to run through the reel to the image you want.

And then there is the deluxe which... I don't know, maybe "serious" researchers can see them but they are, yes, restricted. Back in the mid 1970s, I got to handle the real original Sanborn's book of maps, seemed like almost 3 feet square, with buildings colored in to show type of construction, all in 1" = 50'. That was quiite an experience.

Yeah, I'm not sure how all the rules work, either, even having been on this site for a few years. Definitely appreciate your knowledge of Corpus and the area, though. Will be back there in a couple of weeks.

-sundeen highschool
-inside the downtown tunnel
-any of the old drive in theatres (i usually only see aerial views)
-movies 1 and 2 on staples while it was still a movie theatre
-cinema west (same as above)
-the golf place that used to be at south park shopping center
-gooney golf (i heard it was where jack in the box on kostoryz is)
-any of the burger chefs while they were still in use
-aqua thrillway or magic isles while they were still in use.
-the hideout that was used in the legend of billie jean (it was near where the aquarium is, or maybe in the exact spot. im not too sure)

any help would be appreciated.
