Wierd, because after all the bleating.....the police abuses, poverty, rioting etc. seem to be happening in Baltimore which has had 50 years of Democratic mayors and is roughly 85% democrat.
So rather than address the topic seriously, you blame republicans for not going along with the democrats policies because those policies would fix this mess. Say what? You seem to miss who is running the show there with ZERO oppposition.
Maybe, just maybe....both parties have some stupid policies that aren't working....but you'd never see it that way even when it's staring you in the face.
Do you expect any different ?
You've seen the posts that the failed Obamacare was really a Republican idea even though not one Republican in either the House or Senate voted FOR it.

Where did I blame either Republicans or Democrats in my post?
"According to his family, Gray's spine was "80% severed" at his neck, he had three fractured vertebrae, and his larynx was injured. The police claimed that Gray had experienced a "medical emergency" during his transport, but the events that led to the injuries are unclear. Officer Garrett Miller claimed that Gray was arrested "without force or incident."
Despite extensive surgery in an attempt to save his life, Gray died on April 19, 2015. Pending an investigation, six Baltimore police officers were temporarily suspended with pay. Police Commissioner Anthony Batts reported that the officers "failed to get [Gray] medical attention in a timely manner multiple times", and did not buckle him in the van while he was being transported to the police station."
Oh, ok, I get it. He had a rap sheet. Having a rap sheet justifies murder. I never knew that.
Yea, and being a family member makes you an expert on spinal injuries.
Blacks are slightly poorer than Hispanics in the US. 26% vs. 28% in poverty but for all intents and purposes could be considered equal.
One major thing of note however is the history of Hispanics in the US vs. the history of Blacks in the US. These issues of race when it comes to blacks and whites were ingrained into US culture for hundreds of years, something that has no equivalent with any other race here.
So I agree that it's not all about poverty. There are several other factors that cause this beyond poverty, though that does play a significant part as you don't see any wealthy black people participating in this stuff.
Hispanics have pride and a work ethic....
One can see this outside any Lowes or Home depot.....Always a bunch of hispanics waiting for pickup work,,not a white or black amongst them.
Just an observation from my little part of the world.
No someone does not deserve to die for running away, but I'll bet the fist shots were in the legs, and with semi-auto pistols, your shots tend to rise.
Most people are trained that running away from police can get you shot. The police have a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence. Within limits they have a right to have their orders obeyed.
