There are good bikers and bad bikers just like every other organization.By the looks of some of those bikers, they probably have grandkids, homes, businesses...

I seriously doubt all 170 bikers will lose their positions in society over this.

I wonder how many guns were found, although this is after all in Texas where the carry laws are quite liberal so that wouldn't be surprising. Neither would the "chains with padlocks attached" as they are motorcycles that one has to secure to stop theft by guess what..... a padlock and chain.
How this plays out as it moves into the courts will be interesting, I wonder if they'll advertise how many of the arrested have no charges filed and exactly what those that are prosecuted are finally charged/convicted with.
More likely it will go the way of the Baltimore looters, rioters, arsonists and drop completely off the news pages and into obscurity.

Unfortunately the court system is every bit a corrupt as the police departments. The DA's are only concerned with their political careers and do not give a damn about justice.

This is how it usually works. The DA's will offer each person arrested a plea deal to a lesser offence than the false offence they were arrested for. Their lawyer will advise them to take the deal even though they may not be guilty of anything because if you do not play along, the DA will charge you with about 10 more charges knowing that if you throw enough crap at a wall, some of it will stick. He does not care if you are guilty or innocent, he just wants to keep his conviction rate up so he can get re-elected. Like the cops, the DA is also a ego maniac and if you push it he will prove his power to you. Your lawyer will tell you it is not worth it to stand on principal because you have a good chance of doing serious time if you fight it. Welcome to the American Justice System.... plead guilty to something you did not do, get probation, and go on with your life... of course if they ever decide they want to go after you for something, that "conviction" will ensure they can, big time.

I can't rep you again yet, but you have perfectly described the sorry state of the American Justice System.

Yes, they have. "Biker wars" have been going on for nearly five decades at least. The "Twins Peaks" story is only top news because of the recent "Black Lives Matter" movement. My guess is that the media is using it as an attempt to "balance" all of the cop-on-black stories that have been emerging lately (which are also old news, too).

If it were not for Ferguson, NYC, and Baltimore; these "thugs" would have made the top story for a few days only at most.

The Banditos have a presence in the prison system and I believe they are considered a prison gang in the State of Texas to some degree. Either way, they definitely can fall in with one of the "white" prison gangs. Being locked up might be aggravating to their "ride free on the open road" mentality, but let us not kid ourselves here: they are a criminal organization that does not give a hoot about anything. Period. Unlike black, Hispanic, and in some cases, white, street gangs outlaw bikers don't join up to "protect" themselves nor are they forcefully recruited to maintain ranks. They may not even come from broken homes or the "ghetto/trailer park": they attract people who simply do not care about anything to begin with except for taking care of business. That is why they call themselves "1%ers". They live to take care of business, which they surely can do from within the prison walls.

The lawyers will try to get them to rat and turn State's evidence against their organization, which won't happen as the penalty for doing so will certainly result in a death sentence. Being executed by their own organization is not so much the issue as another year they are still alive is another year they figure they got lucky. What is worst is the dishonor to their name that would come with the execution.

find a prison guard and ask them how much power biker "gangs" have behind bars.

Your post is nonsense. Don't have a sons of anarchy tattoo do you?
